About Howden Emeralds

We started as a ‘Back to netball’ team in 2021, coming together a group of ladies that hadn’t played netball in a while for various reasons – some of us had babies recently, some of us were new to the area, and some of us just hadn’t played since school! We absolutely loved playing netball together, and team Emeralds was born! Since then, we’ve fought hard in the league, and despite some tough games, we’ve had some results we’re really proud of, and we want to keep developing and growing as individual players, but most importantly as a team.

We train weekly, and we’re committed to working hard and making improvements to our play, but we also just love spending time together, making sure we have regular socials too!
