We're back after a week off!

Siamo Sirens vs Aircare Lightning

First up on court on Saturday, was Siamo Sirens vs Aircare Lightning. From the first centre pass, Aircare Lightning were quick to convert to goal, with excellent connecting play from Lily Horton in GS and Karen Glason in C. Kelly Scholey and Claire Wright worked well as a defensive unit for Sirens and kept Lightning's lead in sight at half time. In the second half, Lighting took it up a gear, with Stef Johnson in GD showing her skill in the defensive circle. Despite lovely shooting from Sirens Poppy Murphy, Aircare Lightning took the win 31-8.

PE Active NC vs Phoenix 58

Next up saw MHNL newcomers Phoenix 58, take on league stalwarts PE Active NC, both of whom have played some excellent netball so far this season. Phoenix 58 was the team to take an early lead, with strong defence from Jenny Paris keeping PE Active NC's goal count low. However, at the other end of the court, PE Active NC's Sofi Mills turned over lots of ball to keep her side in the game. By half time, the score was 24-14 to Phoenix 58. In the second half, Weller Arnold tried to keep her side in the game with some accurate shooting, but the strength across the court from Phoenix 58, especially in centre court from Katie Hillerberg, proved too much for PE Active NC. The final score was 46-30 to Phoenix 58.

Vanelli Vixens vs Lutterworth Robins

League youngsters Vanelli Vixens took to court next against Lutterworth Robins. The first half was end to end, with strength at both ends of the court for both teams. Vixens Lilly Parish and Keeley Potter, and Robins Rebecca George and Ella Moffatt got notable mentions for their strength at both ends of the court. At half time there was only one goal in it, with Robins in the lead 16-15. With an exciting battle in the centre court between Vixens Katie Bensi and Robins Sophia Rochelle, a gap started to open for Lutterworth Robins. At full time, the score with 46-30 to Lutterworth Robins.

Foxton Mavericks vs Foxton Flyers

Last on court was a derby match between Foxton Mavericks and Foxton Flyers. Despite the current form of Mavericks, the Flyers were quick to take the lead in the first quarter, with Justine Tilson in GA showing her strength. However, from the second quarter, Mavericks took control with Lucy Matthew-Kirk making life challenging for Flyers shooters and Evie Van Nierop working tirelessly at GA. At the end of the second quarter, Mavericks were in the lead 29-28. With it all to play for in the second half, Flyers Rebecca Ardley showed skill up and down the court at C, but Mavericks had found their stride and continued to dominate the game. The score at the final whistle was 61-46 to Mavericks
