About Under 15 & U16

Our U15s work on specific court area skills, depending on whether the player is a defender, attacker or mid-courter. However, we also take complete beginners who are just starting their netball journey. This age group compete as the younger ones in the Northampton Junior Netball League U16s where matches move to a full hour, on a Sunday at Benham Sports Arena. We also support our more able players through the county academy and county satellite selections, offer trial for our competition squads and support them through franchise trials on the England Netball Pathway. Skills training is specific for shooters but focuses around game sense and match play for all.

About Under 16

Our U16 players have a variety of pathways to choose from, along with their weekly training sessions. Weekly sessions are fun and energetic, a break from the hard slog of year 11 and GCSEs. They are invited to play at Benham in the U16 Northampton Junior Netball League or to trial for our competition squad, are supported through franchise trials for either Loughborough Lightning or Wasps and/or work through a plan with their lead coach to transition into our adult netball teams. Each player’s needs at this age are looked at individually with a plan for level of play created and revisited throughout the year. As well as local league, we aim to play in the East Midlands Regional U16s league, enter the EM National Qualification tournament and other National competitions.
