Lutterworth V Aircare Thunder

In our first game Lutterworth took on Aircare, this game started lively with a well fought first quarter where Aircare came out 10-8. Aircare really pushed their lead going into half time. GK Elise Whearity was solid in defence keeping Lutterworth to just 3 goals in the next quarter. Defensive partnership of Emma Megginson and Ella Moffatt worked effectively for Lutterworth against a strong Aircare shooting circle. Ellie Chapman took the lead for Aircare. Aircare worked hard to ensure their win with Maisy Williamson in defence having an impact on court.

Final score 43-27 to Aircare Thunder

Turner’s Tornadoes v Siamo Sirens

The closest game of the afternoon saw Turner’s take on Siamo. In a highly exciting end to end game Turner’s came away from the first quarter 9-7. After a contested half with Turner’s C Liv Percival controlling the game and Abi York solid in defence, Turner’s went into the last quarter down by 1, 26-27. Throughout the game Sirens shooters combined well and excelled in their shooting, this was apparent in the last quarter scoring 13 goals. Sirens GD Kelly Scholey shone at the back to ensure their win.

Siamo Sirens came away with the win 40-36

Harriers v A Plan Emeralds

Harriers started strong with an excellent performance from GD Wendy Cray keeping Emeralds to only 2 goals in the first quarter. Harriers took the first quarter 9-2. Harriers carried on their momentum taking the second quarter 17-5. Emeralds didn’t give up with Kate Fennell at GA shooting strongly. Harriers kept their strong play throughout with Sarah Royle defending solidly and Sophie Weston shooting the other end. Going into the last quarter the score was 25-9. Emeralds continued to fight with Anya Classisk shooting and Sarah Kirwood at WD.

In the end, Harriers came away with a strong win 36-10.

Foxton Flyers v Club Correze

Correze continued their strong start with Lexi Moakes controlling the game from WD and they took that quarter 14-8. Frannie Simpson and Justine Tillson put on a superb display for Flyer’s from midcourt keeping Flyer’s in distance. Correze went into the last quarter leading 39-26. Emily Morgan and Becca Wayman ensured their win was confirmed. Sara Mangan continued putting the shots away for Flyers but the game finished 51-36 to Club Correze.

Foxton Mavericks v WV blinders

In the final game of the afternoon Foxton Mavericks took on WV blinders. Foxton started off very strong with superb shooting from Nat Billington seeing them put away 24 goals compared to WV’s 7. WV kept their heads high and pushed through with a standout performance from shooter Kimmie Jackson who picked up all 3 player of the matches. Foxton continued their pressure racking up an impressive score line of 46-26 at half time. WV fought until the end having their best quarter in the last one. With Charlotte Asprey and Lucy Pollock controlling that mid court Foxton pushed on till the end to take the win 85-32.
